We know it may be late for this year, but the Library has a stock of specialist Christmas books, covering various topics.
Between 2 and 4pm each Friday there is a “Beginners Bridge” class held in the community room.
This is a U3A club, so incurs a small annual membership fee. For more information contact Tom Wright via the library.
We’ve had lots of Duke of Edinburgh Awards students in the Library for their volunteering module. This has been very successful, and these students have a good time and often continue to volunteer after they have completed their hours. There are lots of different things to do, so if you need a placement, drop into the Library and let us know. We can take two students at any one time.
We want to create a children’s play area in the Library and to this end we want to provide a toy box. We have lots of soft toys, but would really like some Duplo and Brio construction toys. Does anyone have any to spare that their children have grown out of? If so, it would be great if you could donate these to the Library.
We have added a “Village Links” page to the website. This will eventually link to local websites of interest.
The quiz and Fish and Chip night held on 1st March in the church hall was a great success. 60 people attended the event and £281 was raised towards the library.
