Due to the high temperatures and enquiries from users, tomorrow’s, 19th July, library book group meeting in the library from 2.15-3.30pm has been postponed.

Live Well & Dance with Parkinson’s at The Royal Oak, Kirby Muxloe

New Venue for Leicestershire!

Creative, fun and sociable dance sessions led by experienced artists trained in delivering dance for people living with Parkinson’s and their carers

Mondays 10am – 11.45am

A LEVEL/GCSE TUITION AT THE LIBRARY

Are you doing your A Level or GCSE exams this summer? If so, you may be interested in tuition in certain subjects that we are providing at the Library.

Dates: the week before Easter 11th – 14th April, mornings & afternoons

Subjects:
A Level Physics & Chemistry
GCSE English Language, English Literature & French
We may also be able to provide tuition in Economics

Venue:
Kirby Muxloe Library

Cost:
£5.00 per session (to cover the costs of room hire and refreshments)

Format:
These are not formal classes. They are designed to deal with any areas in your subject that you are worried about or do not fully understand. No lectures – the sessions will give you coaching in areas of your choosing.

How to apply:

LCC Welfare Van

The Leicestershire County Council Welfare Van will be in Kirby Muxloe at the Library on Wednesday 23rd February from 2.00 – 5.00pm.

The staff will offer advice on a variety of well-being issues and inform you about how to access services.  They will also show you how to access lateral flow test kits and will carry out testing on the day if you feel you need one. Results within 30 minutes.

Do come along and talk to the staff if you feel it would be of benefit to you.
